20th September

For my Shimelle's class Learn Something New Every Day I have come to the conclusion that I like time on my own or with good friends, but that I appreciate the times more when me and Gary are alone.

September 2nd

Today is day 2 for the Shimelle's class, Learn Something New Every Day and day 2 of our trip to our caravan in Wales. We have been up all night as usual with the rain and the wind. In the morning on inspection of outside, our awning was still standing but five others were destroyed. They were not the lucky ones but thank God we were. Mother nature can definately be fearce.

September 1st

Today is my first page for the Shimelle's class Learn Something New Every Day . We had been up all night with the rain and the wind, but by the time we took Susie our pet King Charles for a walk it had calmed down a lot and it was lovely to blow the cobwebs away. So it only goes to show it is true what they say, you can have fun even even when things make it difficult.

16th September

Today I had my monthly visit to Walton Hospital where I have my treatment once a month. Well to cut a long story short I was meant to have a few tests as usual, then have my treatment but things did not go smoothly. I was meant to leave about 2.30pm and I ended up leaving at 5.45pm so I learned today for Shimelle's class for Learn Something New Every Day patience is not easy.

15th September

It is half way through Shimelle's class Learn Something New Every Day and I have decided I am not going to give myself a hard time if I have not done my pages. I know I can still do them because I am keeping a note book with everything that I learned for every day, and my feelings all jotted down so thank you Shimelle great idea.

14th September

This afternoon I went back to my old work after a long time away, to cover some annual holiday leave. I was anxious as it was, everthing was going so well, until I got myself a cup of coffee. I put it on the desk and then answered the phone, and you can guess what happened next. You got it, the coffee cup topled over and it whent all over the paper diary, the desk, all the paperwork and the books. So for my learning for today for Shimelle's class Learn Something New Every Day. A coffee does go further than you think.

13th September

Do you like glitz and glamour and crazy nights out, or do you prefer a cosy night in, a drink of hot chocolate and an early bed. The answer for me is I like both but I have to remind myself that I need both in moderation. Due to having a night to myself as Gary was away for the night and on having such a a hectic couple of weeks with my Birthday. All I wanted to do was stay in and do a bit of quiet crafting and go to bed to watch a nice romantic film. I chose Titanic nothing nicer than clean sheets after a bath and let's not forgetLeonardo Di Caprio so for my page for Shimelle's class Learn Something New Every Day What more can a girl ask for? I decided overall, that I love the hectic life but I am just as happy with the simple things life has to offer.

11th September

Today for my Shimelle's class Learn Something New Every Day I was sitting just thinking about life in general, now I have passed the big '40' as they say. Do I feel any different? the answer is no. so this got me thinking what will happen in the future?. The answer is I don't know but I am excited and a bit anxious all in one, but I know one thing whatever happens will happen no matter what I do, and I will grasp it with both hands and live day by day.

10th september

My surprise ended up being a night at Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel where I used to work over 22 years ago when it was owned privately and only had 14 rooms, now it has been taken over by a big Hotel organisation and comprises of 76 rooms. So what I learned today for Shimelle's classLearn Something New Every Day is that I am so lucky.

9th September

Nothing can upset me today as it is my 40th Birthday and I am so excited. Gary had a surprise for me later but did not know what it was So my Shimelle's classLearn Something New Every Day is I love my Birthday, I love my partner, I love surprises.

6th September

Today I learnt that I love my new laptop, so I decided that I had to commemorate the occasion by scrapping it, and using it as my page for the Shimelle's classLearn Something New Every Day At the moment it is sitting on the table all shiny and black, did I say it was new. I got it the other day so my partner and I don't argue about who is using it the longest, as we usually do. My brother came round tonight and set up the wireless for me so it is all systems go.

5th September

This morning I woke up and realised I felt tired, so I had to admit it to myself what other people have been trying to tell me for years. I need sleep more than I care to admit. So I made a note to myself to try and rectify the situation in the future, and so I will take notice I used it as my page for Shimelle's classLearn Something New Every Day

September 3rd

Shimelle's classLearn Something New Every Day page is because today I learned that good friends are the best. The reason I say this is I invited one of my very good friends Elaine round for dinner, but before we had finished their was a call from Gary's dad saying he had fallen earlier in the day and that he could not take the pain anymore. As Gary was at work my friend said she would take me there. when we got there he was in agony as he had fallen on his shoulder. I did not hesitate and called the ambulance they took him in straight away and we followed by car. This was 8pm, we ended up staying till after midnight and he ended up staying in as he had fractured his shoulder. My friend was great she didn't complain she stayed the whole time, then took me back home. So I definitely believe that friends are more precious than diamonds.

Learn Something New Everyday

The main reason for my blog is to join in challenges. My first class starts on the 1st September and runs through the whole of the month Shimelle's class Learn Something New Every Day .We receive a prompt every day, so I hope to be making pages through the month. Part of the class involves a forum where we can share what we are doing and how we are doing, or not as the case be ! Today we received our first prompt so I have tried to organise myself by getting papers and embellies ready. I have decided on a 6 x 6 album and the colours are shades of orange and browns, not my usual colours but decided new start new style.
